Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse says he knows what to expect from Cape Verde ahead of their clash in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualification Group D match.
The Blue Sharks of Cape Verde, who are placed second in Group D, beat South Africa 2-1 both home and away earlier this month.
“There’s nothing to hide. We know what they have, they also know what we will take, ” Cisse told the Senegalese News Agency (APS).
The match between Senegal’s Lions of Teranga and Cape Verde will be played at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia on 7 October 2017.
“The stadium in Praia is very windy, but during the two or three days of training in Saly, South Senegal, we will train in a field with synthetic turf,” he added.
Senegal, who are placed third in Group D, drew with group leaders Burkina Faso both home and away earlier this month.
Burkina Faso and Cape Verde both have six points and the former have a better goal-difference with two games left. Senegal and South Africa have five points and one point respectively.
The Lions of Teranga and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana both have a game in hand and they will meet in a Group D rematch in November 2017.
Only the group winners will qualify for next year’s World Cup finals which are scheduled to be hosted by Russia.
